Things ssllowwinng down

Wednesday, January 28th, 2009

Just a short note to let you folks know that things are likely to be a bit slow in the foreseeable future. I haven’t had much time to work on PSP development lately, and this trend doesn’t seem to be improving much. Until further notice, and unless things drastically change, I consider SMS Plus AdHoc more or less abandoned – if anyone is interested in continuing it, go for it – if you’re particularly successful, I’ll even add it to the main development branch.

For a while, if there are changes, they are likely to be smaller in nature and scattered – smaller upgrades and bug fixes, mostly. I also want to note that the forum is likely to be removed soon; any existing suggestions and bug reports will be retained; new suggestions will not be accepted for a while, though bug reports are always welcome. If you’d like to retain any posts, please do so before they’re removed.

Spam, and spam other spam updates

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

The forum has started to get bombarded by spam from China; this has led me to block a number of IP ranges, as well as add spam protection – full details here. I’ve also added a new forum for posting bug reports — if you have any bugs to report, please do so here.

In the upcoming month or so, expect to see updates to a number of existing emulators – Fuse and fMSX are likely to be some of those updated. Updates are likely to range from very small fixes, to new (and hopefully interesting) features.

If you also own a GP2X, good news — I’ve been contacted by the author of the GP2X port of RACE!, who plans to use RACE! PSP’s state saving code his port. Speaking of which, all signs indicate that state saving works without a hitch — if you’re interested in details, here’s a list of tested games.

psp.akop.org forum

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

I’ve added a new forum for discussions related to my emulator ports at http://forum.psp.akop.org. I’d like to ask all of you who have suggestions or questions related to any of the emulators to post there – I will not be able to reply to support questions in weblog comments. Random emulator-related discussions are also welcome.
