There are no major changes to report with this update; it synchronizes the PSP version with the Marat’s official distribution. There are changes to the VDP (video) code, although I haven’t noticed any differences in rendering or performance.

This is a small update to fix current known issues. Changes in this version:

This update fixes the following issues present in version 0.9.0.2:
Updates from 0.9.0.1 (just to reiterate):
July 27th, 2008 Posted by Akop in fuse, psp, release
New in this version:
This version also includes extended DSK support; however, this does not seem to work correctly at the moment. Since the next version of Fuse is going to have drastically revamped 765 support, I’m probably not going to work on this until the next version.
UPDATE At least one user has reported palette corruption problems, so I’m pulling the new version down until I can revert the psplib code back to an older version. Please bear with me, and if you have the version originally released, please don’t distribute it.

Joining the cornucopia of emulators today is a port of the Free Unix Spectrum Emulator (Fuse), a Sinclair Spectrum emulator. A nice addition to the PSP port is support for ZIP files.
I’m happy with most of the port, however, there is an issue with intermittent tape loading hangs that I will be investigating further. To mitigate this issue (and Spectrum’s slow tape loads), I’m (grudgingly, for those of you who remember Caprice32
) adding support for Z80 files from the game tab. The ‘autoload slot’ feature is also available.
Please check the documentation for any other issues. Feedback is always appreciated!

This is mostly a bugfix release. Here’s what’s new:
This version no longer includes a version compiled for firmware 1.50.

New features in this version:
The second feature requires some experimentation, and I welcome any feedback you may have. As mentioned, the limit is 500 ROM’s - this is not counting the “auto-detect” ROM’s, for obvious reasons. The list is updated when ROM type is changed via the System menu - to remove an entry from the list, simply set ROM type to “auto-detect”.
Searching through the CRC values is done in linear time, when a ROM is actually loaded, but for 500 entries, this is not likely to take long (I’m not sure how long reading/writing these entries will take to memory stick, however).
The list is loaded from stick when the emulator starts up, stored in memory while the emulator runs, and saved back to stick when emulator is exited.
If you find this feature helpful and are willing to help, please see the previous post
UPDATE Version compiled for firmware 1.50 does not work. Please use the 2.00 version

Mislabeled settings are the reason why FMPAC games failed to run even with MSX Music enabled. Versions up to (but not including) 3.5.2 incorrectly labeled the MSX Audio engine as MSX Music and vice versa.
Version 3.5.2 fixes this issue and is now available for download. Note that if you don’t want to download it (it adds nothing but a correction to the typo), simply reverse your settings for MSX Audio and MSX Music and try running your favorite FMPAC-based games again. Note also that running FMPAC-based games with MSX Music disabled will hang the emulator.
The FMPAC diagnostic cartridge, Aleste 1 and 2 have all been tested and run fine and with sound. Please note, however, that the MSX Music engine requires more CPU power, so you will need to increase the CPU frequency (and disable vertical blanking/vsync) if you want full-framerate MSX goodness.
Special thanks to Victor Sartori for his help in tracking down the issue.

Today’s emulator’s been in works for several months now, and while it’s still not 100% complete (menu system is still incomplete, and no documentation yet available), I figured it’d be best to release it anyway. I’m happy to present (as far as I know) PSP’s first CPS3 emulator.
UPDATE April Fool’s!
Hope the prank was not too cruel - if it helps, I’m hoping for a good Capcom Play System III emulator on the PSP myself. While the platform has few good games, the Street Fighter III series alone are worth it
