Spark developments

I never really posted the full list of features in Spark, so I thought it proper to do so now. Features that will definitely be in the application:

  • Support for multiple accounts
  • Account summary
  • Played games statistics
  • Achievement statistics
  • Message composition/message review
  • Friends list
  • Friend summary (bio, location, rep)
  • Game comparison
  • Friend management (add, remove, approve and reject friends)

Of the features I have listed, Message composition and review are perhaps the most requested, with Game comparison perhaps second most. A decent number of other features are also planned, but whether or not they will make it into the final application is currently uncertain. You can be fairly certain, however, that new message notifications will be supported.

Just to make things a little more interesting, here are some screenshots:

So when’s the application going to be released? At the moment, I have no idea. The features are working, but as they say, the devil is in the details, and there are a lot of things to iron out, before I’ll be comfortable enough to release it.

I get a lot of requests to beta test the application, and while I do appreciate any offers to help, my answer at the moment is that the application is not available for testing. I don’t normally do closed (or open) beta testing, but if you are interested, keep checking this site. If I decide that beta testing is needed, I’ll definitely announce it here.

To be honest, sounds fake. You should let people beta test, release a stripped down version or something. Have a fresh pair of eyes look at it, help you out with what you may have done wrong. Refusing to beta test is a poor excuse and sounds to me like nothing is really happening.

I’m sure you understand, being part of homebrew and all that. We’re strung along to believe someone has come up with something to answer all our prayers only to find out they were just fucking with us.

Lo, I know nothing about Spark or whatever, but this bloke really does deliver on his promises – I’ve been using his excellent emulators for ages now, and not only do they do as they claim, they also perform very well. He really does know his stuff. Although I do understand your concern, as many people claim things that they cannot or will not deliver, but Uberjack isn’t one of those.
