The votes are in

Thanks to all of you who responded to the Commodore message; I’ve tried to read responses on this weblog, as well as those at dcemu. My original question was regarding the C64 and VIC-20 systems, but it seems like most of you would rather see an Amiga emulator than a C64/VIC-20 emulator.

I’ve also noticed interest in the Spectrum series (ZX-81 certainly hasn’t missed any opportunities to remind me of the need for such an emulator ;) ), so I’ll keep both of these in mind.

I am interested in finding out why those of you interested in these systems don’t use PSPUAE and PSPectrum, however.

  1. top and bottom is that all the emus refered to above, spectrum, vic20, c64 and amiga are all good but you emus are very polished and all look and feel the same, they are also very stable unlike some of the above.

Out of the above I would love to see the spectrum done by your self followed by the vic20 then c64 then the amiga.

I loved my amiga and it had some great games but I have never found any of them anywhere plus all amiga emulators are to complix. Why can’t it just be easy to play game on like most emus?

Your work is great and can’t wait to see what’s next whatever it may be.

Thank for your work to date.

  2. Thank you, kind comments are always appreciated :)

  3. I really like your work. Emulators are easy to use and have great interface. I want to ask you to think about porting some good emulator of major consoles like, SNES, GEN or NES. A port of ZSNES, KEGA or Nestopia would be cool. Of course, there are some emulators of these consoles for PSP already out, but none of them have your style and there is really no fast enough SNES emulator for PSP at the moment. So, please, don’t focus your attention on computer emulators only, think about more console emulators too.

    Best regards, Eevon.

  4. Nestopia will probably never be ported to a “limited” platform like the PSP. Its main strength is also its main weakness - the emulator is extremely accurate, at the cost of speed. Last I tested, it ran like molasses on my Pentium 4 :(

  5. I’m sure your input would be much appriciated if you were to work on an Amiga emulator or with any of the PSPUAE team… however, i should warn you there is another developer currently working on a new version!

I’m very greateful for Fuse though - already looking as good as PSPectrum, and in some ways betters.
