Shortly after my post about porting OpenTyrian, developer deniska announced in the comments that he’s almost finished with the PSP port, and posted a video on YouTube:
This is a release I’m definitely looking forward to. For those who don’t remember, Tyrian was a beautiful and engaging PC shooter, at a time when PC shooters (as well as most PC games) were subpar to most console titles. The music and graphics in the game are easily on par with many Amiga and MSX titles.

I’ll post the PSP binaries on Monday, once I get to work (too lazy to do it from home on weekends) I was actually planning to fix a few things in the code, but ended up playing the game.. It brought up some nice memories.. and yes, the music rules!!
Just as I was wondering if the Jukebox was included, you showed it off. *glee*
I can’t wait for this to release. Tyrian’s one of my all-time favs.
I just played this. I have to say, it’s one of the best ports for the psp that i’ve played to date.
